What is the best lay-out for a laundry room?

Laundry room plan created with floorplanner.com

There many trending laundry room designs. However, throwing a lot of money to get a flashy laundromat design will not necessarily give you a bang for your buck.

Our recommendentations:

Stick to the traditional design for your laundry room because you’ll get the best return on investment for doing so. All you need is a vacuum cleaner, dryer, washer, and a little more space. You would, probably, need nothing more than these.
Ensure there is a functional floor drain in your laundry room. You can get a floor drain through a primer line. This way, water can flow through one of the pipes of the primer line. With a primer line, a seal is also created to keep exhaust gases from filling the air of your apartment.

DO NOT FORGET that a laundry room requires good lighting. Having an ambient light is a requirement for your laundry room. Nonetheless, activity lighting is equally as vital, especially for specific areas. The right amount of light is a necessity when doing tasks like sewing, ironing, and whatnot.

DO NOT pick a wallpaper that’s not water-resistant to hang over the wall in your laundry room. The wall covering you will use here should be easy-to-clean and durable.
Meanwhile, if you have a lot of space in your apartment and you’re not on a tight budget, you can opt for an elegant design for your laundry room. Just know that you can get a laundry room that would serve your purpose without emptying your pocket.
